The top ten User Interfaces of 2008 published in a a recent report by the Jakob Nielsen of the Nielsen Norman Group, or NN/g, offers readers a great view of how the Web is shaping business on the Web and what people need and expect to get their job done.
Many of the winning applications use dashboards to give users a single overview of complex information. While some designers answered the call to offer a product that looks, feels and works like the Office 2007 ribbon, the use of lightboxes is becoming a trend to ensure that many notice important alerts while performing tasks.
We've had a chance to poke around these applications but felt it important not to re-rank the following list since assigning a higher or lower ranking really depends on each person's requirements.
