Anti-Application Songs Put a Nice Spin on Popular Social Web Platforms

These "anti-application" songs have sprung up in the form of videos to poke fun at one particular social Web platform, Facebook. Each of the videos, first posted on YouTube, are direct video responses of the other. What's so appealing? The relationship between the lyrics of the songs and the other habit-forming activites of the social platform.

The first video called the "Bob Dylan Facebook Song" uses the musical arrangement from "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and the music video Dylan created. Included in the info portion on the YouTube page are the lyrics. The second takes from Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" and is equally fun and entertaining.
