A recent article by Washington Post staff writer Kim Hart exposes a very interesting look into those flashy Facebook applications. The question: why would the developers of a random 80s movies quiz, for example, need to know a user's date of birth or home town?
Sometimes revealing answers from quizes can help formulate an online profile, or your personal digital footprint, and could lead to disaster. For example: offering up the names of my pets or my favorite football team could be cross-referenced with some random security question for a forgotten password.
Sure, anything is possible, but does make one think twice about taking another quiz.
